I find it almost impossible to know if the stock price will go up or down, I wonder how these day traders make money.. Is it like kind of gambling for them? I'm having a little trouble understanding this concept. I learned that the Fed will lower interest rates to combat a recession. Lowering interest rates causes a bond's price to go up - so why are traders bidding bond rates down? Is it to get the bond at a lower price before the bond prices goes up in an effort to make a profit at time of sale? Thanks for any help!

As a non-trader, is it wrong to trade a film you bought from a seller? Assuming they made it themselves (recorded from TV onto DVD, etc) What are some traders etiquette? These are not commercially released DVDs, most of the films I am looking for are so old (and rare) that they are under public domain -- and I believe there is a law that does not prohibit this because it is not released by any companies.
