Now in The Visual Investor book on How to Spot Market Trends aimed at the huge and growing market of individual investors in stocks, bonds, and mutual funds, John introduces readers to the art and science of visual analysis. Clearly and simply he explains...

When I started investing I admittedly didn't have a clue what I was doing. I was very impulsive and didn't do nearly enough research. At the time, fundamental analysis was all I understood and I barely understood that. Over the years (5 or so) I've been bitten by the technical analysis bug. I love technical analysis. It seems to me, a person could be a very successful investor on technical analysis alone. How do you guys feel about that? Is that an accurate statement? With minimal fundamental analysis and lots of technical analysis can a person invest successfully? Or would that be considered more "trading" vs. "investing?"

I am considering becoming a day-trader using spread betting as my vehicle. I want to know what out of fundamental or technical analysis is of most benefit for day-trading the financial markets if you want to consistently make money as I know from my practice experience that trend trading the minutes, hours and the days range, whatever the direction is good to follow to take in lots of little profits. Which out of technical or fundamental analysis is best to use for the purpose of day-trading - which is most efficient in consistently making money?

I use technical analysis to buy and sell stocks. The rules are entered into a computer prorgam, back tested and optimized to find the highest possible netgains. What are the 3 most important parameters you use to determine when to sell?

What is considered the best Technical Analysis book? I know security analysis is considered the magnum opus of value investing (alongside the intelligent investor), but what is considered the best book on technical analysis? I asked this question a couple of days ago but i didn't get any good answers. Which book have all the major stockbrokers hedgefund managers read?

I was told to not follow a technical analysis because it just follows graphs and charts that chart trends. But, I don't know the difference between these two.
