My friends real estate agent wouldn't give them a comparable market analysis before they made an offer on a house. Is the agent required to provide that? This is in California. They feel as though the agent was trying to inflate the offer by not showing them recent sales info. They have been working with the agent for a while and they have signed a paper/agreement for the agent to represent them as buyers. They already made the offer on the house and now are negotiating the sellers counter offer. To the comment below, its my understanding agents do work for the buyers for free, its the seller that pays.

I am trying to find a current and CORRECT market analysis of the jewelry business. I am starting an online jewelry store and this information will be part of the business plan, which I am writing myself. I have tried local college libraries, pubic libraries, and am now trying the Internet but am only finding ads for custom software clamiing to do this for me, which I am not interested in purchasing or using. we now are going to have to relist the house for sale as my husband is going to have to transfer out of state to a new job, we are getting a new market analysis done by the realtor I picked(she sells the most properties like mine in town here) how much should I go off of what she says? I am worried in her bid to get my business she may overvalue it and then it could sit, should I get more than one done by different realtors? Is there anyway to make sure it is pretty accurate?
