I'm looking for an investor. I have a good business plan and all I need it money. I already prepared for presentation for the business plan. Is it like a loan to take money from investors? Or they want part of my business plan like 10-15% of the profits? How does it work exactly?

I want to start up my own business and need help. I have a business plan and have a very qualified management team. However, I lack the funds needed and I am having a hard time obtaining them. I am looking for an investor or group of investors that are interested in funding the start up of a real estate investment company that also performs various construction services within the commercial and residential spectrum.

My partner and I are starting a business and we're looking to raise $300,000 to get it started. We have one investor lined up to talk to because he's a family acquaintance, but other than that - we have 0 possibilities. I feel like most people get one or more investor, but I have no idea how to find other angel investors. Any ideas of where to look? Or, would you say we have a good shot of getting just that one investor to invest?

I've been working on an internet business proposal for quite some time, and I have the basis for the business model. This is a complete start-up, so I need some financial backing. I'm really not sure how to go about finding investors. I've heard of angel investors, venture capitalists, and others. Any suggestions on how I can acquire some investments? And what exactly are these people looking for? Thanks.

Investors technically are partial owners of the company. So can banks or whatever loaners to that company go after the investors? I don't know if you answered my question... Can the shareholders be "liquidated"?

Ok my uncle is a home builder in the metro Atlanta area, due to the credit and real estate market he is struggling to sell 4 new homes he built. He recently asked me to find out about private investors that might want an opportunity to buy out the houses. So my question is: Where can I find investors and how do I get in contact with them? What is a fair amount of profit an investor should make in relation to the appraisal value of the homes? (ex. If the home is appraised at 1 million how much should the investor pay, What percentage?

Does anyone know where do you go to find investors to see if they might be interested in investing in your business? I'm planning to start up a new internet business which I think is pretty unique but I'm not sure how to find investors who maybe could help with marketing it and getting it known.

I have an adult film business seeking investment. I hired someone who has been successful with finding mainstream investors in the past, but he has had no success finding capital for an adult business. Any ideas are welcome. This is an adult media production business. Looking for a total of $600k, but My advisor told me that some of the potential investors he spoke with were suggesting producing one big film (like 'Pirates, but not that expensive) on a budget of $30k including marketing.

I have an invention that would make use of electronic/radio technologies, and don't know how to find investors or how to create interest in the target markets. Does anyone know of good information sources?
