I'm looking for an investor. I have a good business plan and all I need it money. I already prepared for presentation for the business plan. Is it like a loan to take money from investors? Or they want part of my business plan like 10-15% of the profits? How does it work exactly?

When an investor gives money to a start-up company (or any company for that matter), how does it retain the original amount given? Does the company pay interest until the amount is covered, or does the investor get a stake in the company, or both? How much of a percentage would an investor who gives $10K to a start-up company hold in the company? Or can the company just choose to pay back the loan over a period of time? Basically, how do investors make their money off of companies?

Ok my uncle is a home builder in the metro Atlanta area, due to the credit and real estate market he is struggling to sell 4 new homes he built. He recently asked me to find out about private investors that might want an opportunity to buy out the houses. So my question is: Where can I find investors and how do I get in contact with them? What is a fair amount of profit an investor should make in relation to the appraisal value of the homes? (ex. If the home is appraised at 1 million how much should the investor pay, What percentage?

Where do investors look or who do they talk to when they are interested in finding someone or something to invest in? (For private investments not for publicly owned companies) Do they join an angel network? Or their Chamber of Commerce? And are there any good sites that list info on what investors look for in a opportunity in regards to a private investment?

I want to start up my own business and need help. I have a business plan and have a very qualified management team. However, I lack the funds needed and I am having a hard time obtaining them. I am looking for an investor or group of investors that are interested in funding the start up of a real estate investment company that also performs various construction services within the commercial and residential spectrum.

My partner and I are starting a business and we're looking to raise $300,000 to get it started. We have one investor lined up to talk to because he's a family acquaintance, but other than that - we have 0 possibilities. I feel like most people get one or more investor, but I have no idea how to find other angel investors. Any ideas of where to look? Or, would you say we have a good shot of getting just that one investor to invest?

After you write a business plan, where can you submit it to potential investors? Where do you even find investors?

I've been working on an internet business proposal for quite some time, and I have the basis for the business model. This is a complete start-up, so I need some financial backing. I'm really not sure how to go about finding investors. I've heard of angel investors, venture capitalists, and others. Any suggestions on how I can acquire some investments? And what exactly are these people looking for? Thanks.

I am in the process of starting a small business and would like to raise money from outside investors. The investors will most likely be friends and family. I would like to offer each an equity stake in the company. Here are my questions/issues: How do i compensate them? What percentage is common? How to determine percentage of ownership? How do i determine the value of the company if it's still in it's grass roots stage? Should i make them board members? Any info would help.
